Calvin Ralph Flowers

Calvin Ralph Flowers, 56, of Westlake, passed away on July 04, 2012 in Lake Charles. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 7, 2012 at 10:30 am at Robison Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Westlake Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will begin on Friday, July 6, 2012 from 3pm-9pm at Robison Funeral Home.

Calvin was a life-long resident of Westlake. After graduating from Westlake High School he worked as a store manager. Later, he went to McNeese State University and fulfilled his lifelong dream of becoming a high school speech teacher in Crowley, LA. As a teenager, he joined the International Order of DeMolay, which he continued to be involved with throughout his life, ultimately earning the highest award conferred, The Legion of Honor. He was a member of Westlake Lodge #443 F. & A. M.

Calvin is survived by his mother, Charlene Spell Flowers of Sulphur; 2 sisters, Dianna Flowers Frugè and husband Lonnie of Sulphur, and Cheri Flowers and husband Richard of Eureka Springs, Arkansas; brother, John J. Flowers, Jr. of Seven Points, Texas; 4 nephews, 2 nieces, 1 great nephew, and 4 great nieces. He was preceded in death by his father, John J. Flowers, Sr.
