Vernon Hardy Parker, 66 of Sulphur passed away on July 7, 2012 in his residence. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 14, 2012 at 11 a.m. in South Sulphur Church of Christ with Ministers Paul Evans and Chris Maher officiating. Vernon was a native of Lake Charles and a long-time Sulphur resident. After high school he served his country in the U S Navy. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and the South Sulphur Church of Christ. Vernon is survived by his wife, Pamela P. Parker of Sulphur; two daughters, Michelle Parker and husband, Shawn Smith and Jade Allen and husband, Travis all of Sulphur; two brothers, Arthur B. Parker and wife, Alice and John H. Parker and wife, Sylvia all of Sulphur; two sisters, Dorcie Beech and husband, Bob of Jena, LA and Jenelle Bates of Sulphur; four grandchildren, Sarah Jordan Monceaux, Theresa Lea Johnson and Tyler and Isaih Allen.
