Memories Timeline

  1. To the Minnick family: My most sincere condolences for your recent loss. 2 Corinthians 1:3,4 says: "Praised be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of tender mercies and the God of all comfort, who comforts us". Seek our Creator for comfort and to be reminded that he has promises for a better future. Note what Jesus said in John 5:28,29: "Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out". Our dead loved ones will be resurrected or live again. Imagine when this becomes a reality and we get to see them again here on earth. It is definitely something we can all look forward to.

  2. We had much fun in Galveston at her house. Aunt Doris came to my wedding. She had not met my husband until that day and she laughs and says "well isn't he a long drink of water with a cookie duster!" I had never heard this reference for a tall person. We both laughed and I have never forgot that reference to him. Candy I am sorry for your loss. I know there are no words to lessen this time of sorrow. Keep her beautiful smile in your heart with all the precious memories.

  3. We loved our dear Aunt Doris. She was always happy, positive and sweet. When we moved to Galveston she shared her lovely home on the bayou and fed us. So many memories of that home which I loved. She is dancing in heaven with all those who had gone before her. Rejoicing with her sister, daughter, brother mother and father. Death is a pain that no one can heal; memories are something no one can steal. We love you Aunt Doris. Candy may you find peace in knowing she is happier than she has ever been.

  4. Doris was like a second mother to me at a time when I needed someone the most. She sheltered and protected me when I needed protection from abuse. I loved her deeply, and I will forever remember her feisty but loyal spirit. Fly High with the Angels, Kitten!
