Kenneth "Kenny" Rammie LaVergne

December 24, 1957 ~ May 13, 2021

Kenneth Rammie “Kenny” LaVergne, 63, of Sulphur passed away on Thursday, May 13, 2021 with his family at his side.

Kenny worked as a commercial fisherman/shrimper for many years. He enjoyed cooking, music and hanging out with friends and family. He loved to fish, especially freshwater fishing. Kenny’s grandbabies were the “light of his life”.

Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Krista Cole and her husband Kenneth of Sulphur; grandchildren, Ava and Amaya; his sister, Melissa Richard and husband Randall of Sulphur; nieces and nephews, Kayla Trahan, Charlie Richard, Alex Richard; great niece, Isabella; great nephew, Greyson; and his stepfather, Charlie Breaux of Sulphur.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Shirley Ann Hoffpauir; father, Rammie Joseph LaVergne; brothers, Morris Wayne LaVergne and Larry Joseph LaVergne; and his Godmother, Melba Sonnier.

A Celebration of Kenny’s life will be held 10 am, Tuesday, May 18, 2021 in Johnson & Robison Funeral Home of Sulphur. Celebrant Steve Shirley will officiate. Burial will follow in Big Woods Cemetery. Visitation will be 4pm- 9pm, Monday at the funeral home and resume Tuesday at 9am until time of service at 10am.
