Kristen DeGraw Marsceill

April 12, 1984 ~ November 10, 2019

Kristen passed away unexpectedly and peacefully in her New Orleans home on Sunday night, November 10, 2019. She was an "oh so special" daughter, sister, wife, and friend that was taken way too soon. She was a Hurricane Katrina survivor.  Kristen loved all animals, music, gardening, and her "home" town of New Orleans. She was born in Lovell, Wyoming. She attended 2 National Spelling Bees in Washington D.C., numerous pageants, and attended LA School of Math, Science & the Arts.

She is survived by her mother Mary DeGraw Scimemi and little sister Nikki DeGraw from Lake Charles, LA, her ex-husband of 12 years Christopher Marsceill from Philadelphia, PA, her partner Kyle Carter of New Orleans and many aunts, uncles, and friends from around the country. She will be greatly missed.

Memorial donations can be made to the family through pay pal at misty_nicole3@hotmail.com.

Cremation has been entrusted to Johnson and Robison Funeral Home.

Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. There were so many fun and interesting memories i have of Kristen. One of my favorites is going buy these cheap makeup kits from the dollar store with all kinds of other stuff and doing the most ridiculous makeovers..lol. She will be truely missed. 🌹🌹

  2. No words can express what I am feeling. We went to hell and back a few times during the 15 years we shared a life. You are with your Dad and Jack McCoy now and I know you have been looking forward to being reunited with both. I love you. I never will not love you. The other day I tried to convince myself that I would wake up and it was 2004 and Katrina hadnt happened and we had to jump on bus to Storyville for a gig with Truby and Sugarbear. I am sorry you never found what you were looking for. I just need you to watch over us all now. Please.

  3. Pete, Mary & Family,

Our condolences go out to the family for your loss. We will keep you all in our prayers during this difficult time.
