Larry Pecar

Lawrence “Larry” Anthony Pecar, 44, of Sulphur, LA passed away on September 2, 2021, in Port Arthur, TX.

Larry was born on April 15, 1977, in New Orleans, LA to Francis and Sybil Pecar. He will always be known for being a Saints and LSU fan. Larry loved fishing, boxing, and spending time outside in his backyard paradise. He loved entertaining family and friends, game night with his family, and dearly loved his job.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Alexis Pecar; four children, Tyler Pecar and wife Courtney, Aidan Pecar, Aubrey Pecar, and Laney Durio; parents, Sybil Theresa Prosper Pecar and Francis Charles Pecar Jr.; father and mother-in-law, Hillary and Helina St. Germain; siblings, Kelly Ann Blache, and Alan Paul Blache Jr.; brother and sister-in-law, Garrett and Alisha St. Germain; god child, Aleisha Blache; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Rene Anthony Pecar.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM Saturday, September 11, 2021, at Our Lady of LaSalette Catholic Church. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM with a 6:00 PM Rosary on Friday, September 10, 2021, at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home. Visitation will resume on Saturday morning from 8:00 AM until time for processional to the church at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home. Burial will be at Big Woods Cemetery. Fr. Andrew Kollannoor M.S. will officiate services.

  1. I never thought you would leave so soon lil brother, you had such and awesome life planned. We were living our best life. I pray you are with our little brother Rene’ now. Give him hugs and kisses for me, now y’all can watch over us together.  (Keep us safe) I love ya lil brother. 

  2.  I worked with Larry at the Century Group for several years. I always thought of “Kramer” from the sitcom “Seinfeld” when Larry would come flying into the office!  He had so much energy!!  So hard to believe he’s gone. Praying for all of you as you journey through your grief.  I’m so very sorry for your loss. 

  3. To Larry's beautiful family. I really am sorry for your family's loss. Larry is a good friend of mine and the last time we spoke he texted me to find out if I was staying for IDA or getting out of dodge. He also was the reason I started my business back up when I was going through a really hard time. When he came down to visit he always told me that he was in trouble with the wife lol, he loved yall so much…you guys was his life. Larry show those he loved that he did in his own special way. Im really going to miss you Larry Pecar! I have so many great memories you left with me as well as you have with your family. I know you will be watching over us all.

  4. I had the honor in getting to know Larry during our pledgeship into Kappa Sigma fraternity. Years following I lived with Larry and got to know him even more. Larry was a larger than life kind of guy. He had a big heart and great personality. He would give his shirt off his back for anyone. He will truely be missed by all.

  6. rip larry we had went to school together in st. bernard parish i will miss him so much he is a very nice guy n a good friend i will always remember him will never forget him 

  7. My heart is so sad to hear about Larry’s passing. I’m In total shock. Larry & I were best friends at Chalmette High & he worked at my father’s car repair shop. We had a lot of great times. He always protected me & encouraged me. I have a lot of photos of him. Please know that my love & prayers are with you all at the awful sad time. I will miss getting messages from him & seeing him randomly stop by when In town. I know that he was truly was a great father & husband! He will always be my fave #44!!!
