Teresa LeBlanc

August 26, 1951 ~ March 21, 2023

Teresa Sanders LeBlanc, 71, of Sulphur, LA was called to her eternal home March 21, 2023. She was a faithful member of Our Lady of LaSalette Catholic Church. Raised as a Hackberry Mustang, Teresa later taught second grade at her alma mater for thirty-six years. Loved by her students and colleagues alike, she was an inspiration to all.

She was a grounding influence on her children and grandchildren and never missed any family activity or event, which included her shopping sprees with her granddaughter. Outside of her boundless love for family, she was an avid fan of LSU athletics, an excellent cook, and enjoyed tea and Dr. Pepper.

Teresa is survived by her son, Brett LeBlanc; daughter, Alonna (Chase) Ardoin; grandchildren, Mason LeBlanc and Adrienne and Rowan Ardoin; siblings, Jeffrey (Cheryl) Sanders, Jeanne (Tim) LaFleur, and Tara (DeWitt) Poole; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Terry LeBlanc; parents, Benny and Eloise Sanders; and sisters, Liz and Lisa Sanders.

Loss is always difficult; however, it is different when one loses someone so strong- maybe not in physical stature, but definitely in mind, will, spirit, faith, and love.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, March 27, 2023 at 11 A.M. at Our Lady of LaSalette Catholic Church in Sulphur with Father John Welch, M.S. officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery in Sulphur under the direction of Johnson and Robison Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 26 from 4-8 P.M. with a rosary at 6 P.M. Visitation will continue Monday at 8 a.m. until time of leaving for the church.

Memories Timeline

  1. Dear Alonna and family, our thoughts and prayers are with you. God is walking with you during this time and always will be with you. He will strengthen you. May God bless you all.

  2. Jeff, Jeannie, and family:  I’m so sorry for the passing of my long-time friend. We had many laughs together during my years at Hackberry High School. We got to visit and catch up at Robert Henry’s service.  My deepest sympathy and prayers to all her family.

  3. Brett, Alonna & families. I am so sorry to hear of your mom’s passing. My prayers are with all of you at this time.

  4. I really enjoyed the slide show of the Teresa Sanders/Terry LeBlanc's family. It was definitely a roll back of the past of beautiful lives of such great friends. It brought a lot of fun loving memories back for me.

I grew up hanging with Terry, Teresa and all of the LeBlanc family. There was never a dull moment and I am sure you all know exactly what I am talking about.

I am very sorry your loss of your beautiful mom.
    May she rest in peace.
    She will be missed dearly.
