Thomas "Tommy" Reinsch

September 23, 1946 ~ August 23, 2013

Thomas Tommy Reinsch, 66 of Sulphur passed away on August 23, 2013 in St. Lukes Medical Center. Tommy graduated from Abbeville, LA and worked as an instrument technician retiring from Air Liquide America. He was an avid LSU fan, loved to hunt, especially with his son Keith, fish, golf and coach recreational baseball. Tommy was a prankster at heart, a people person, who loved spending time with family and friends, making many coffee stops during the day. Tommy is survived by his wife of 48 years, Linda Reinsch of Sulphur; two daughters, Heidi Guidry and husband, Van and Erika Bourque and husband, Sean all of Sulphur; son, Keith and wife, Mica of Lacassine; sisters, Marlene Derouen and husband, Larry of Lake Charles and Elizabeth Hudson and husband, Bobby of Baton Rouge; 10 grandchildren; 1 great grandson; and his beloved dachshund, Sugar . He was preceded in death by his mother, Marjorie Kirkpatrick and sister, Patricia Reinsch. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 27, 2013 at 11 a.m. at St. Theresa Catholic Church in Carlyss with Father Ernest Corriveau officiating. The family will receive friends on Monday, August 26, 2013 from 5-9 p.m. with a rosary at 7 p.m. at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home. Interment will be at a later date.

  1. Linda, Heidi, Erica, Keith, & Grandchildren, We were so sorry to hear about Tommy's passing. Living on the same street for 35 years makes us realize we should have made a better effort to visit more often. Tommy was a great person, a wonderful friend and neighbor. We will miss him. We love you all and will be praying for God's blessings.

  2. I am so sorry to hear of Mr. Reinsches's passing. He used to come out to CITGO, and was always a delight to see. May your memories of him keep him near, and ease your pain of loss.

He always came in for a cup of coffee, always had a funny to tell, and talked about his family. A great man with a great laugh. Tommy will be missed.

  6. Linda, My heart goes out to you. I was so saddend to receive the news about Tommy. I always admired the love y'all displayed for each other. I know he will truely be missed, but pray God gives you the strength to carry on in his name! I love you and I will see you today.

I think Tommy always made a person field better after speaking with him, always had a joke. I only wish I had been able to see him more. If you ever need anything want to have coffee and just talk just give us a call. If you ever have to go back to Houston we would be happy to drive you. Again we are praying for you and Tommy.
