William "Dub" Bryan Stewart

Sulphur"William B, Dub Stewart, 92, died on Monday, August 8 in Stonebridge Place assisted living surrounded by his family. Funeral service will be held on Friday, August 12, 2011 at 10a.m. in Robison Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Roger Templeton will officiate. Burial will be in Prien Memorial Park in Lake Charles, LA. The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 11, 2011 from 5-9p.m. at the funeral home and will resume on Friday at 8a.m. until time of service. He was a native of Oak Grove, LA and had lived in Sulphur for almost 60 years. In his early years, he worked for a Railroad Company and played semi-pro baseball in Winnsboro for the Winnsboro Red Sox. He graduated Salutatorian at Ouchita High School. He was well known in Sulphur as the owner of Dubs Bait Shop for 20 years and as a technician for United Gas for 35 years. Survivors include his wife, Joyce Stewart of Sulphur, four sons, Larry LeBert of Lake Charles, Bryan Stewart and Bob Stewart both of Sulphur, Doug Stewart of Prairieville, four daughters, Brenda DuPriest of Monroe, Gail Roy of Rayville, Glenda LeDoux, and Carol Faye Duhon both of Sulphur. He is also survived by over 60 grandchildren and great grandchildren. Special thanks goes out to Stonebridge Place, Odyssey Hospice, his doctors and Dubs sitters for their special care.
