William Ford McNabb

March 3, 1949 ~ October 2, 2023

William “Billy” Ford McNabb, 74, of Carlyss, passed away in a local hospital Monday, October 2, 2023. Billy loved being a husband, father, and grandfather above anything. He retired from PPG as a pipefitter and afterwards became an educator at ABC School sharing that knowledge with his many students throughout the years. Billy was also a member of the Machinist Local 470. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends as he is the cornerstone of the family.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Diana Gail Francois McNabb; son Jeffery McNabb; daughters, Teri McNabb, Ashley McNabb Tisdel; grandchildren, Timothy McNabb Jr., Seth Tisdel, Andrew McNabb, Jaxson Tisdel, Avery McNabb, Brooklynn Wheat, Cali Wheat, Kaiden Wheat; siblings Robert McNabb, Barbara McNabb Barnett, and many nieces and nephews.

Billy is preceded in death by his parents, Ford and Virginia McNabb; brothers, Raymond, Charlie, Johnny, Joseph, Howard McNabb; sister, Gwendolyn “Sis” Cathey; son Timothy “Timmy” McNabb; grandson, Kaigen McNabb.

  4. Dad, I am forever grateful to have had you as my father in law, and my boys Pawpaw. You were an amazing man that raised the amazing man I married until death did us part 2 years ago. My heart breaks for everyone because you were the glue that held the family together. I pray mine and Timmy's boys always remember you and the things you have taught them. I pray they grow up to be just like you. Thank you for everything Dad. You were more than just my father in law. You were a better Dad to me these last 15 years than my own father. I love you dearly. You're no longer sick. There's no illness in heaven. Rest easy Dad, you're with the angels now.
