Waylon Cormier, 47, of Sulphur, LA passed away on August 24, 2021, in a local hospital following a brief illness.
Waylon was born on October 2, 1973, in Sulphur, LA to Boyce and Lucille Cormier. He was a Sulphur High School graduating class of 1992. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends and never met a stranger. Waylon was an avid fisherman and was a member of the Southwest Bass Club. He also enjoyed hunting and being in the great outdoors. He was a lifelong carpenter and a member of the IAW&AW LL 470. Waylon, FWSL #1, table of Matthew, was an active member of the Faith Walk South Louisiana community since its founding. Decolores!
Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 19 years, Wanda Cormier; three daughters, Courtney Monceaux and husband Austin, Abbigail Cormier, and Autumn Cormier; granddaughter, Ellie Monceaux; siblings, Evette Tull and Gail Heacock; and mother, Lucille Cormier.
He is preceded in death by his father, Boyce “Bobby” Cormier.
Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 PM on Friday, August 27, 2021, at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home. Visitation will resume from 8:00 AM until time of service at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home on Saturday. A celebration of life will be at 10:00 AM Saturday, August 28, 2021, at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home. Tom Bruce and Richard Gill will officiate services.
He will be forever missed I’m so very sorry for your loss. He is so loved by all that had the pleasure of meeting him.
