Jacob Stutes

Jacob Stutes

Location Manager

Jacob Stutes, a Location Manager at Johnson & Robison Funeral Home since 2006, was born in Sulphur and raised in Sweetlake. A graduate of St. Louis Catholic High School and Commonwealth Mortuary College, Jake and his wife, Teresa, are proud parents to their daughter, Paisley. His passion lies in extending a helping hand to those in need. Jake has a deep connection with the community, where he actively seeks fundraisers and benefits for people in need of medical care. He also enjoys contributing to local gatherings through his musical talents. His unique skill set is built upon 18 years of continued learning and education. He is devoted to serving others in anyway he can. In his personal and family life, Jake enjoys coaching softball and actively supports his daughter in her sports pursuits, which include, softball, basketball, and soccer.

Robert Smith

Funeral Director

Robert Smith, a compassionate Funeral Director at Johnson & Robison Funeral Home since 2019, considers it a privilege and an honor to help families fullfill the final wishes of their loved ones. He acknowledges the immense trust families place in him, and he takes on this responsibility with great care and respect. Sulphur holds a special place in Robert’s heart, having worked closely with its residents during his career in the construction industry. He is an active member of the community, attending Christian Life Church of Sulphur, where he serves as a founding board member. Robert’s background includes attending McNeese State University and completing a 9-month internship, which equips him with the skills and knowledge to meet and exceed families needs. In his personal life, Robert is married with six children and one grandchild. He enjoys woodworking, raising chickens, and has a passion for grilling, smoking meats, and crafting homemade beef jerky.

Gail Williams

Advanced Planning Specialist/Certified Medicare Representative/Funeral Director

Gail Williams, an Advanced Planning Specialist and Certified Medicare Representative at Johnson & Robison Funeral Home since 2015, finds purpose in assisting families during their difficult times. She also dedicates her efforts to educate the public on the importance of preplanning. Gail is deeply intertwined with the close-knit community of Sulphur, where she has lived her whole life. She is an active member of St. Theresa Catholic Church, participates in Catholic Daughters, and enjoys the camaraderie of the Twelfth Night Revelers. She is a graduate of Sulphur High School and McNeese State University. With over 40 years of experience working with the public and 14 years in the funeral industry, she is well-equipped to meet families needs. In her personal life, Gail enjoys various crafts, quilting, and reading, while also taking pleasure in spoiling her 6 grandsons. She is an avid follower of the Saints, LSU, and McNeese sports, as well as the Sulphur High School Golden Tornadoes. Her love for country, rock and roll, and gospel music shines through, and she has a deep appreciation for Cajun food and the local heritage.

Kathleen Taylor

Office Manager

Kathleen Taylor, the Office Manager at Johnson & Robison Funeral Home since 2013, finds immense fulfillment in assisting families who are navigating the difficult journey of losing a loved one. Kathleen is an active member of the Immaculate Conception Church, which reflects her deep ties to the small and tight-knit community she works in. The people here feel like family, creating a comforting atmosphere for those she serves. Her unique skills and strengths shine when dealing with the practical matters, including insurance and other areas where clients may have little understanding. In her personal life, Kathleen has two children, both of whom are married and have two children each. During her spare time, she enjoys the outdoors, tending to her yard, and indulging in her love for reading.

Tricia Breaux Matte

Office Assistant

Tricia Breaux Matte, an Office Assistant at Johnson & Robison Funeral Home since 2013, finds fulfillment in assisting families in the surrounding areas. Having sat at the same table where many of her families sit to say their goodbyes, she understands the deep pain and sadness they experience. This personal connection drives her to go the extra mile in supporting families through the grieving process. Tricia’s roots run deep in Sulphur, where she grew up and feels very connected with its residents. She attends Our Lady of LaSalette Catholic Church and actively participates in Grace through Grief meetings. Tricia also passionately supports Breast Cancer Awareness events, even when she can’t be present in person. In her personal life, Tricia treasures time spent with family and friends, with a special bond with her granddaughter, Tyler Brooke. She enjoys reading books by authors like Nicholas Sparks and Emily Giffin.
Marcus Wade

Marcus Wade

Funeral Assistant/Chaplain

Marcus Wade, a dedicated Funeral Assistant and Chaplain at Johnson & Robison since 2016, is passionate about serving families by helping them celebrate the lives of their loved ones. His love for the SWLA community, especially Sulphur, where he calls home, shines through. Marcus actively participates in civic groups and churches to contribute to the community’s growth and recovery, especially after storms. He also pastors the Christian Life Church in Sulphur. With over 30 years of ministerial experience and 14 years in the funeral home industry, Marcus possesses the knowledge and empathy needed to support families as they honor their departed loved ones. In his personal life, Marcus enjoys spending quality time with his family, whether it’s through cookouts, playing music, road trips, fishing, or golfing. He’s also involved in coaching baseball within the community.

Deborah Tenney

Hostess/Funeral Assistant

Deborah Tenney, a dedicated Hostess/Funeral Assistant at Johnson & Robison since 2009, finds genuine fulfillment in taking care of the families she serves. Her love for the community she works in is evident through her active involvement with the Senior Center of Sulphur, regular visits to Holly Hill Nursing Home and High Hope Nursing Home, and her attendance at Christian Life Church. Deborah’s remarkable skill is her affinity for people. She has developed the ability to connect with and understand the needs of all the families she meets. In her personal life, Deborah shares a 48-year marriage with John Tenney and enjoys fishing, gardening, and sharing fresh produce with friends. She has a rich history of providing licensed day care for 25 years. She and her husband also enjoy spending time at their home on Lake Bundicks.

Sherry Miller

Hostess

Sherry Miller, a dedicated Hostess at Johnson & Robison Funeral Home since 2018, finds fulfillment in assisting families in any way possible. In her close-knit community, Sherry is a member of Our Lady of Prompt Succor, showcasing her connection to the local church. She works hard to exceed Families needs. In her personal life, Sherry is a single parent with two children, four grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. She enjoys the simple pleasures of life, such as dancing and fishing.
