Why Choose Us

Our Beginnings

Johnson and Robison Funeral Home opened its doors for business in 1999 doing business as Robison Funeral Home. This family owned business quickly gained a great reputation for providing compassionate care and giving professional service to the families of Sulphur, Hackberry, Johnson Bayou, Carlyss, Vinton, and DeQuincy. For 15 years, Melisa Farr and her loyal staff served these communities with unparalleled dedication.

As Melisa and her staff grew the business, she struck up a friendship with Zeb Johnson and the staff of Johnson Funeral Home in Lake Charles. When either funeral home had a need, they were both quick to call on one another for assistance. Through this professional relationship a strong and lasting friendship was created amongst all members of both staffs. During a particularly tough time of terminal illness in Melisa’s family, she reached out to Zeb Johnson and began the process of selling her business to him.

In 2014 the sale of Robison Funeral Home to Zeb Johnson was completed. The new Johnson and Robison Funeral Home was created and began operating in June of 2014. Melisa Farr continues to work for the family business in a support staff role, mainly focusing on the care of families after the funeral has been completed.

Today, both the staff of Robison Funeral Home and Johnson Funeral Home have been blended together to make an even stronger business that continues to provide excellent service to the families in the greater Sulphur area. Zeb Johnson, his daughter and son-in-law, and the entire staff are committed to continuing the legacy of great service that Melisa, Mark, and Robison Funeral Home has given to this community.
